Water Distribution

We keep water safe, clean, and available to drink

Water is sourced from Cornish Creek Water Treatment Facility at Lake Varner reservoir. Cornish Creek Water Treatment Facility is managed by Newton County Water Resources.

NCWSA Purchases water from the Newton County Board of Comissioners and distributes it along 650 miles of pipe to homes and businesses around Newton County (enough pipe to reach Miami!), and transfers water to the City of Covington, Walton County, Jasper County, and Butts County.

Service Line Distribution

Newton County Water and Sewerage Authority (NCWSA) has completed an inventory of the water service lines in our service area, in accordance with regulations from the US Environmental Protection Agency and Georgia Environmental Protection Division. This inventory is being made available to our water users as a searchable document so users can view their service line materials. Fortunately, there have been no service lines found in our service area containing harmful materials. Your specific service line can be found via your address.

*The entirety of every service line component may not be verifiable for accuracy.

*This inventory is prepared in accordance with state and federal requirements to rule out the presence of harmful materials, and should be used for no other purposes, such as real estate agent disclosures, plumbing quotes/sales materials, etc.

*The Utility Provider (NCWSA) assumes no responsibility for privately-owned service line components which may have been altered, replaced, or installed in inaccessible areas or after the most recent inventory inspections.

*This inventory can be updated at any time and on an ongoing basis. New service lines will be incorporated into the inventory as construction records are submitted.
